Philadelphia Main Line Roofing Contractor Challenges the Industry on Issue of Down Payments
by Anonymous

February 23, 2004--Questions You Should Ask About Down Payments on Jobs

Why should an established contractor demand a down payment on a job that requires nothing more than stock materials?

Should you, the consumer agree to pay up-front money on a job before any work is done?

Do I take away some of my control over the job by giving a contractor money up-front?

Is it best that I demand to make one full payment upon completion?

Consumers need to ponder the questions listed above when confronted with giving over their money to a contractor before a job starts. Any answer that would affirm giving a down payment to a contractor on a job using stock materials should actually bring with it, more questions about how that contractor is doing financially. Four Seasons Roofing and Siding believes that we should be paid at the completion of a job, when we have performed the work according to our agreement with the customer. Unless there are special order materials that will only fit your particular job, such as specially manufactured windows and doors, or some other special order material, or if the job will take longer than a month to complete, we don't ask you for a dime up-front toward your new roof or siding job.

Rest Assured
We want you to rest assured that your experience with Four Seasons Roofing and Siding will be one that you will not regret. So we just ask you to ponder the potential regrets before you make a down payment to a contractor. Then we want you to give some thought to doing business with a company that truly values the interests of its customers. We want you to feel comfortable in dealing with us. We want to be your exterior company, and we know that you will have no regrets in contracting with us.
